The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it can be alarmed with regard to the higher variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance point developed for intervention experiences a substantial influx SRD of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
